Creating an Inclusive Learning Environment

Faculty and staff play an important role in creating an accessible and inclusive environment for students with disabilities.

The Disability Resource Centre works with instructors, student mentors and academic assistants to increase awareness of disabilities and appropriate ways of supporting students.

Training & Awareness

The DRC conducts workshops for instructors and student mentors/academic assistants to build awareness of different disabilities and ways of supporting students.

Advisory Support

The Centre considers the requirements of students, faculty and staff with disabilities and encourages the use of Institute facilities to support accessibility.

It also keeps relevant members of the university community informed about accessibility-related concerns so that issues can be addressed in a timely manner.

If you need support

Faculty and staff can contact the Disability Resource Centre to discuss accessibility requirements or concerns relating to students with disabilities.
